Ebola cases have tripled in past three days in Sierra Leone

Sunday, June 1, 2014

Good afternoon:

The Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) is reporting today that the number of new Ebola cases in Sierra Leone has tripled in the past three days,

Cases of Ebola virus disease (EVD) in Sierra Leone have more than tripled in just 3 days, from 16 reported on May 27 to 50 reported today by the World Health Organization (WHO). The agency also reported 10 new EVD cases in Guinea and 1 in Liberia.

Just a week ago the outbreak in West Africa appeared to be slowing, but the WHO has now reported new cases four times since May 24.

If indeed the planet is trying to rid itself of us, this may be its first step…

  2. inouinjawa says:

Now in Mali too. But what happened to the claim of nearly 6 weeks ago that it had spread into 7 African nations? Was them promptly censred

  3. Jay Dillon says:

If we triple 16 in three days, and continue tripling the number of new Ebola cases every three days for one year, that would be 121 triplings in one year. If you know anything about numbers, or have a pocket calculator handy, you should have sweat breaking out on your brow right at this time.
