Better gitty-up and git yer tickets now

Friday, October 18, 2013

Good morning:

I know all of you are just dying to attend the Gun Rights Preservation Forum next month in Viera, Florida. The Republican Liberty Caucus of Central East Florida is sponsoring the event and you know that anything they sponsor will be absolutely magical.

Mark O’Mara will be the enthralling speaker for the evening event. Don’t be late, because he will be presented with the Republican Liberty Caucus of Central East Florida’s annual Jefferson Cup Award, which is awarded for speaking truth to power.

Bob White, chairman of the caucus, said O’Mara earned it by standing up against the prosecution of the case against Zimmerman and standing up to the media coverage of the case.

No event like this would be complete without a raffle and this event is no exception. The Republican Liberty Caucus of Central East Florida will be raffling a Kel-Tec 9 mm semiautomatic pistol and a bible.

Florida Today has the story.

Tickets for the gun and Bible raffle are $15 apiece or five for $50. White said the combined value of the gun and the Bible are about $500.

“I would say it’s a proven, reliable, self-defense firearm,” said Marc Boileau, the owner of Affordable Pawn and Gun in Melbourne, which is working with the Republican Liberty Caucus in providing the Kel-Tec PF-9 as the raffle prize. Boileau also noted that Kel-Tec CNC Industries Inc., is based in Cocoa.

White said the connection between the raffle prize and Zimmerman is coincidental, and that the Republican Liberty Caucus chose a Kel-Tec gun as a way to support a local company.

“We basically thought this would be a great way to highlight the Second Amendment and raise money for our organization,” White said.

Get your tickets now because I’m sure you won’t want to miss this exciting event and pass up a chance to win a bible and a really cool gun just like the one Zimmerman used to murder an unarmed and helpless Trayvon Martin.

I noticed a correlation between guns and shutting the government down. People tend to ignore the political / religious statements from Tea Party people. Their logic doesn’t make sense – or they say statements that are in contradiction with each other.

Here is the correlation. When people / politicians don’t listen, the GOP & Tea Party members must use force to get their way – gun or government shutdown.

I forgot, one of my students came to me during lunch and told me she wanted to talk to me about bullying. She told me half of what happened and other students came in so she told me she would talk to me the next day. She hasn’t been to school in a week. She said she was involved in a bullying incident when she was 8 years old. Her mother died somehow related to that bullying incident. The girls is absent a lot. I hope she is ok.

I hear the will be showing a documentary on The Gangs of Sanford,
featuring The Goons, The Coons, The Punks, The F Street Assholes, and the Boys 2 Hoodies. Also featuring out of State rivals,
The Thugboats of Manassas and Joe G’s soft asses.

  4. looneydoone says:

Maybe they should add a dance with O’Mara as an incentive for the *ladies* to buy those blocks of tickets

  5. Drew says:

Why do these law enforcement loving right wingers support *certain* criminals and crimes?

Why not raffle off the guns the Tsarnevs used to heroically fight off police?

Please excuse my somewhat offensive and simplistically binary logic here, but this would be like the Congressional Black Caucus raffling off a replica of the gun Mumia supposedly used.

  6. gblock says:

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how many of the major points of Fogen’s defense are lies and/or nonsensical. Things like:

Fogen’s head was being bashed against the sidewalk and he was being seriously injured and in danger for his life. Never mind that his only documented injuries were two small lacerations and some tiny scratches – and that he refused medical treatment that would have documented the existence (or nonexistence) of other alleged injuries.

Since one residence was robbed by two black males in their late teens, all black males in the same age group can legitimately be seen as potential threats.

Fogen was screaming in terror while aiming and firing his gun.

Although he had been taking classes in martial arts regularly for over a year, he was helpless against a teenager who weighed 40 pounds less than he did.

Trayvon had time to run down to near Brandy’s home and back to the T to wait for Fogen to come by, but Fogen didn’t have time to walk the much shorter distance back to his truck.

While lying on his back with Trayvon straddling him, Fogen was able to quickly pull a gun out of a hip holster.

Have I missed any major points?

    • Trained Observer says:

There’s no end to valid points, although these are certainly among the majors, another being Fogen’s history of aggressive physical behavior against others during his career as a bouncer.

    • MDH says:

No, you have covered about 30% of the book of lies and BS that were accepted by the defenders of Zimmerman as reasonable.

IMO, they have two evidence standards for reasonable:

For a white man accused of killing a black man, the standard for reasonable is a possibility defined by one divided by infinity.

For a black person accused of any violent crime against anybody, reasonable must be met by enough evidence to overcome the 99.9% probability that they are lying { for example, a time stamped picture of a black person not being at the scene of a crime along with eye witness testimony of other black people would not disprove guilt to the great mind that is B37 because “they all look alike and lie”.

As offensive as my sarcasm is, I feel it is close to how these shits think. In fact, I think it is a reasonable conclusion.

      More on topic.

I am still waiting for those virtual black children to appear and tell us what a great mentor George is.

I am still waiting for Papa Z, the man who does not lie, to tell us what George cooked Shellie for dinner.

I am still waiting for Mr. Donnelly to tell us why he lied for George.

  7. fauxmccoy says:

gee, i’d love to attend, but i’m sure i’ve got to wash my hair that day 😉

    • Trained Observer says:

I’m scheduling a root canal — infinitely more appealing.

      • fauxmccoy says:

hey, if my hair does not need washing, i’ll volunteer to go wash someone else’s, i’ll give my mom’s standard poodle a bath …. anything will do, even voluntary dental surgery 😉

Public proof of what O’mara represents and the kind of group he loves to associate with.

    Now it is on record!

  10. dianetrotter says:

Professor, In September I filed an EEOC complaint against my employer for age and disability discrimination. This morning I started my process with a workman’s comp attorney. She is taking my WC case and referred me to another attorney to add a civil complaint component. I looked in your categories and didn’t find any references. Is there a blog, and I already know the answer, similar to yours where such issues are discussed?

    • fauxmccoy says:

i wish you well in your endeavors, diane. this can be rough terrain and a good attorney is critical.

      • dianetrotter says:

I’m told that Levy, Ford, and Wallach is the #2 Firm in California for Workman’s Comp. In addition, she referred me to David Myers for the civil portion of the case. EEOC has contacted my School District and is waiting for a response. Most of the people harrassed are white and feel they don’t have a basis for a case because they are white. I explained that age discrimination and ADA discrimination applies regardless of race, creed, or color. Even racial discrimination applies if the person discriminating, as in this case, is of another race.

No one is talking about a retainer which makes me think my case has merit.

  11. Mojo says:

The winner of the raffle gets to accompany George Zimmerman on a 5 day hunting trip to the deepest, darkest concrete jungles of South-central LA

  12. Shadow says:

Is this a joke? Surely it is. O’Mara defended a child killer, not Zimmermans right to carry a weapon.

    • Xena says:

@Shadow. That’s the whole point. What that group wants is to promote the right to kill any Black person based on what other Blacks have done. That stereotypes a group of people based on race. It’s the same as profiling all Whites because of John Wayne Gacy or other White mass murderers.

What that group (with O’Mara’s help) promotes is the same as saying conceal carry licenses are to use guns to kill as a “preventative” measure. Juror B37 might be a member of that organization as well. She believes Zimmerman had the right to kill an innocent kid because he was “frustrated” with crime in his community.

    • towerflower says:

Shadow…..it’s no joke. It is put on by a local group of the Republican Liberty Caucus. The main group even had this story as one of their highlighted main stories at http://www.rlc.org the reason the main site gives for the award doesn’t jive with MOM’s current endeavor of drafting a law against the parents of a bully.

The local group says it’s for MOM standing up to the media which was “trying his client” in the news, regardless of all the false information that he also fed to the media. There part receiptients were local politicians with only about 40 people showing up, with this one they are expecting 400. I have to believe this was done as a publicity stunt to bring people into their causes.

  13. ay2z says:

BREAKING NEWS!! Only here at the FLLB, listen to a preview of Mark O’Mara’s coming speech snppet where he reveals his main point for getting back in the news!!

  14. crazy1946 says:

In the past I had mentioned that George Zimmerman had been active in the campaign of Ron Paul, and that many of the people that supported him not just financially, but as members of his defense team, perhaps you will now start to realize that he was not as some claimed a Democrat, but instead was a Libertarian! Is it any wonder that a racist like Zimmerman would support a man like Ron Paul who had ties to racist organizations all thru his political history? Florida is a breeding ground for right wing racists and the actions of the people who support those ideals are very obvious in their actions, much like the event mentioned in the article…..

    • ay2z says:

What you bet the lawyer has future sights on public office.

    • Xena says:

@crazy1946. Yes. Florida has a growing number of people embracing sovereign citizenship ideology. When I posted an article on that on 3chicspolitico, Bob Hurt submitted numerous comments of about 15 pages each, justifying his ideology. None of his comments were approved for posting, however. He is very proud that Florida is leading the way to rid America of “stupidity,” which is their word used for “Negroes.”

Remember West’s daughter’s words where she used “stupidity”?

      • crazy1946 says:

Xena, The ties politically to both the defense and the prosecution in the Zimmerman (Non) trial is astounding and should serve as an embarrassment to the citizens of the state…. or at least to those that actually care about justice for all citizens of the state regardless of race….

        • Xena says:

          @crazy1946

… or at least to those that actually care about justice for all citizens of the state regardless of race….

Yes, it should matter, but some people believe they are privileged so they can pull the strings of politicians and judges and the heck with everyone else.

      • Two sides to a story says:

Ugh. West strikes me as even more obnoxious than OM. He’s certainly laying low.

        • Xena says:

@Two sides. West is more obnoxious than O’Mara, and he needs to lay low. He should return to representing Jihad terrorists in the federal system because at least then, he can’t demean and denigrate the US in their defense like he demeaned and denigrated Trayvon Martin and Rachel Jeantel.

  15. ay2z says:

yee-haw!! Hittin’ the trail now already!

Can of red spray paint for defining my ground if approached.

Will MOM be giving away free fist-bumps? Careful you don’t damage knuckles or step into his red circle if you fall for it.

  16. lady2soothe says:

White said the connection between the raffle prize and Zimmerman is coincidental, and that the Republican Liberty Caucus chose a Kel-Tec gun as a way to support a local company.

If they want to support local business they should give a Millennium RV away, they’ve located in Sanford!

    http://www.millenniumluxurycoaches.com/

  17. towerflower says:

The other thing I found amusing is the group’s comment about how the award goes to someone who supports less government and less government intrusion into our lives. MOM is also in the news for drafting a bill, in which if successful, will jail parents of a bully.

This is on the heals of the suicide of a 12 yr old girl who was bullied relentlessly by up to 15 people online. They recently arrested two of the girls for stalking. If he is successful then the parents would also have been arrested.

    • lady2soothe says:

      @towerflower

MOM is also in the news for drafting a bill, in which if successful, will jail parents of a bully.

Maybe he could jail the parents of this bully:

      Michael Dunn:

The jail is full of blacks and they all act like thugs. This may sound a bit radical but if more people would arm themselves and kill these (expletive) idiots, when they’re threatening you, eventually they may take the hint and change their behavior.

      http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/18/jordan-davis-shooter-michael-dunn_n_4123805.html

      • MDH says:

The cognitive dissonance of what he says speaks volumes.

Mr. Dunn got pissed off about loud music and pulled out a gun to end the argument.

Is that not the act of a true thug?

That was my experience with thugs. If they did not get their way, they were quick to use violence as a form of intimidation.

Thugs are also prone to not being able to control rage and, as such, their spates of violence lead to bullets flying all over the place.

Is that not what Mr. Dunne did?

That said, I could counter argue, based on Mr. Dunne’s logic {or lack thereof}, that black males should arm themselves and kill any white man with anger management issues such as Zimmerman or himself so that others like them may take a hint and change how they behave.

The jail is probably full of a lot of men of various backgrounds with a significant portion being true thugs – Mr. Dunne being one of them.

If he could not stand the heat, then he should not have entered the kitchen.

      • Two sides to a story says:

Yesterday there were two interviews by police of Dunn’s neighbors. He bullied his wive’s relentlessly.

      • fauxmccoy says:

i read that article, lady2, thanks for posting it here. what a whack job, mr ‘done’ is! i suppose the irony of him writing about ‘thugs’ in the pokey who he things should have been killed already is lost on him.

as disturbing as his stuff is to read, i hope to hell the prosecution makes good use of it.

        • Drew says:

Yeah it’s bizarre. This guy is just as much a thug as any black prisoner. And given the likelihood of blacks being jailed erroneously or for bogus drug charges, he’s probably a far bigger thug than almost all of them.

          After all, he’s a murderer.

It goes back to the gun raffle thing. Why are blacks who commit crimes “thugs”, but *certain* white who commit worse crimes celebrated by the right wing? It would be like left wingers celebrating the Tsarnevs’ bombings because they believe in their anti-war cause.

It’s a pity the media won’t address the right’s strange stance on murder.

  18. towerflower says:

Tasteless to say the very least. Had to find out who was behind it and found out it is the Republican Liberty Caucus, from their website they say:

“The Republican Liberty Caucus is a 527 voluntary grassroots membership organization dedicated to working within the Republican Party to advance the principles of individual rights, limited government and free markets. Founded in 1991, it is the oldest continuously-operating organization within the Liberty Republican movement.”

The group even has the story on their main page at http://www.rlc.org/ I suggest we all let them know what we think of their choice for an award and the raffle item.

Also that must be some Bible, since the keltec PF-9 only runs about $260 retail that makes it a $240 Bible.

  19. Two sides to a story says:

Omigawd, what did I do with my anti-nausea drugs and barf bucket?

  20. racerrodig says:

Vomiting would be about a correct reaction. There has to be something we can do about it.

O’ Mara getting any award other than from Satan himself is a joke and gets filed under “Consider the Source”

“I know all of you are just dying to attend the Gun Rights Preservation Forum next month in Viera, Florida.”

I’ll send this to Kelly Sims and let him know Fogen will probably be there looking for his “Provoke & Shoot” award.

    3 Great book titles Malisha……

  21. Malisha says:

    Should raffle a book:

“How to commit first-degree murder and walk”

    Second place gets:

“How to shrimp ‘causin ya cain’t fight”

    and Honorable Mention:

“Train 3 hours a day at the MMA ’cause them triggers is tough to pull”

  22. Rachael says:

    Giant slap in the face!

  23. Tzar says:

    Stay classy Florida….

  24. bettykath says:

Excuse me, I have to vomit.
