The two videos of the Kenyan songs, are part of the Missa Luba, the Catholic mass, both are versions of the creed. or credo, or karyie.

(in 1969, an album was produced of the complete Missa Luba, and now just recemtly, the long out of date album has been produced and available on iTunes. These two above, are not from the original album.

Thought part of the Missa Luba would be appropriate.

  2. We have another mass shooting in the news with 39 confirmed dead at a shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya.

The upscale shopping center is a popular haunt for rich people.

    And it ain’t over.

Al-Shabaab, an al-Qaeda-linked militant group based in Somalia, has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.

Best reparation for slavery and Jim Crow this country can ever offer will be to accept that they happened and they were ugly.

fascinating study released (discovered while perusing the huffpost) regarding the correleation between the large slave holding ‘cotton belt’ region of 1860 and modern racist beliefs held in the same locale.

the huff post article is just a very brief blurb on a large scale study (39k respondents, now that is statistically significant!)

(somehow, the subject matter brings out the racists in droves attempting to discount findings without even reading the study, much less understanding it. they are fun to mow down by their own logical fallicies.)

    First on the first.
